Applebee’s Orioles

Last year the Orioles put together their best season in a long time.  They finished the regular season in 1st with a record of 23-3, and finished over 10 games ahead of second place.  In the playoffs the Orioles beat the Pit Stop Dodgers 3 games to 1 and moved on to the finals.  In the finals the Orioles had a tough battle against the Boston Pizza Red  Sox, but the Orioles came out on top with a 4 game sweep.  Some of the individual highlights of last year were Lee Maunu winning the MVP and Curt Stasiw taking home the Rookie of the Year award.

This year the Applebee’s Orioles are looking to extend their consecutive championship season’s to four in a row.  The Orioles are also looking to finish in 1st for a third year in a row.  It is going to be tougher to repeat this season with the loss of Lee Maunu, for work reasons. Lee was not only one of the Orioles best players, but he was one of the league top players last year. But with players such as Chris Stecky, Ryan LaVia, Mike Still and Robert Harynuk the Orioles still have plenty of pitching and hitting to last the season.

So far this season has been very good, with the minor exception of the Fathers Day Tournament. The Orioles are currently atop of the league and are looking to continue their strong play into the playoffs.
